1. Main technical specification and data

1-1  The features of Contravariant Digital Diesel Generator

Please affirm you type of machine and understand its functions in order to operate and maintain it correctly.

2. Safety Precautions

Please make sure to follow each precaution carefully in order to avoid damage to equipment and personal casualties.

2-1 Fire Prevention

l        Do not operate the engine while smoking or near an open flame.

l        Do not use the engine around dry brush, twigs, cloth, rags, or other flammable materials.

l        Keep the engine at least 3 feet (1 meter) away from buildings or other structures.

l        Keep the engine away from flammables and other hazardous materials trash, rags, lubricants, explosives).

l        Use the light diesel oil only. Do not use gasoline or kerosene.

l        Operator the generator set on the flat ground. If the generator set is on the declining plane, the fuel will spill.

2-2. Muffler Precautions

l        Never inhale exhaust gas, it contains carbon monoxide, a colorless, odorless and extremely dangerous gas which can cause unconsciousness or death.

l        Never operate the engine indoors or in a poorly ventilated area, such as a tunnel or cave, etc.

l        Exercise extreme care when operating the engine near people or animals. Keep the exhaust pipe free of external objects.

l        When the generator is operating or after brake al little time, the muffler temperature is very high after. Do not touch the muffle in order to avoid scald.

2-4. Electric shock and short-circuit Precautions

l        When the generator is wet or your hand is wet, contacting the generator is not allowed.

l        The generator is not waterproof, so that it should not be used at the places where is raining, snowing or water mist.

l        Generators should be grounded in order to avoid electric shock.

2-5 Other Precautions

l        Customs should be familiar with the operation of all the switches before operating the generators.

l        The persons without proper guidance are not allowed to operate the generators.

l        Children and livestock should be away from the generator sets.

3. Use of generator sets

3-1 Prepare before start

3-1.1 Refueling

Use the light diesel only. The diesel should be clean. Do not mix the dust or water into the diesel in order to avoid oil injecting pump and oil injector are obstructed.

Warning: Spilling fuel is very dangerous. When refueling, do not spill the diesel.

(How to get the clean diesel? Storage diesel 3-4 days, and take the upper diesel. When refueling, do not remove the filter net in the tank.)

3-1.2 The core of air filter

Do not clean the core of air filter. The core is dry. Replace if output has problem or the exhaust gas is abnormal.

Warning: Do not operate the generator when no core.

3-1.3 Refuel oil

Put the generator set on the flat plane and refuel oil. When check the oil high, use the oil ruler checking.

Warning: Check the oil high at the normal position.

        The quantity of oil is 0.75L.

3-2 Start

1. Manual start: push the second gear handle to “RUN” position. When pull the handle of pulling rope until it can not be pulled, press the decompression handle on the cylinder cover, and pull the pulling rope rapidly.

2. Electric start: push the second gear handle to “RUN” position. Turn the electric lock key on the board clockwise to the “ON” position, and turn to the “START” position until the generator start. The key will turn to the “ON” position automatically after start. The starting time should not be more than 3 seconds.

Warning: The electric start is easy. If not start, please check whether the second gear handle is pulled on the “RUN” position. Check whether the fuel is enough or fuel spill from the fuel line. Check whether the oil is enough.

3-3 Electric heating function

The electric heating function should be connected with the battery. When the temperature is low than 5℃, use the electric heating function in order to start. Turn the electric lock key on the board counterclockwise to the “HEAT” position for 15-20 seconds in order to start easily.

3-4 Brake

Press the stop key on the speed handle and turn the speed handle back the “STOP” position in order to brake. Turn the electric lock key on the board to the “OFF” position at the same time.

3-5 Increase load

The generator set is 2.0kw 120V 60Hz. Do not increase load more than the max power. The generator set has the voltage meter on the board in order to check the voltage. Please check the whether is 120V±5V before increase load.

When the load of equipments is resistive load such as incandescent lamp, heater or ordinary electric tools, it can use the rated output power. When the load of equipments is mixed resistive and emotional load such as fluorescent lamps, mercury, transformer, electric fans, small inductance coil or other blower, it should use 60% rated output power confirm the total power load.

3-6 The connection of battery

The requirement of battery is DC12V capacity 12Ah or more big. Firstly, one side of red battery line and one side of black battery line are connected with the generator. Secondly, other side of red battery is connected with the cathode of battery, and other side of black battery is connected with the anode of battery. Finally, tighten the connection.
